However, others were not as impressed with the scenes, saying they resembled an advert and that the show was losing its way.

One said: ‘Every clip I see from The Mandalorian looks like a Super Bowl ad for Doritos’.

Another agreed, adding: ‘why does it look like superbowl ad’.

A third tweeted: ‘What is THE MANDALORIAN even about anymore’.

And a fourth asked: ‘Lizzo just knighted Baby yoda aka grogu. What is happening in Star Wars’.

Lizzo and Jack were not the only guest stars on the episode as Christopher Lloyd also appeared as separatist sympathizer Commissioner Helgait.

The Mandalorian is arguably the Disney streaming service’s signature program.

The first season was met with widespread critical acclaim and commercial success upon its debut.

Its second set of episodes received a similarly positive response from reviewers and fans of the series.

The Mandalorian’s third season, which is expected to run for a total of eight episodes, made its debut on the Disney+ streaming service on March 1.

Favreau previously confirmed that he was working on the program’s fourth season in May of last year.

The show’s creator subsequently revealed that he had finished work on the new season in February.

During an interview with Collider, lead star Pedro Pascal advised fans to expect the unexpected in the soon-to-premiere episodes.

‘Without giving anything away, I would say that the surprises are not necessarily what you would expect from our experience with surprises previous to this season,’ he said.

The performer then remarked that he had become fond of The Mandalorian’s unorthodox storyline.

‘There’s a kind of approach to the way the story is told that is sort of unexpected, and I love that,’ he said.

The third season continues the adventures of Pascal’s character and Baby Yoda, with Mando revealing he’s returning to his home planet of Mandalore to clear his name.

The seventh episode of The Mandalorian’s third season will debut on Disney+ on April 12.
