Gaffe by Iva Zanicchi at The Masked Singer. The singer, a regular guest of this edition’s show as a judge, was the protagonist of an unexpected curtain call during the first episode of the show, which aired on Rai1 on Saturday March 18th. He did so by indirectly naming the competition from Amici, the program broadcast on Canale 5, which also started on Saturday 18 March in prime time.

It all happened on the sidelines of the performance of Donkey, one of the masks participating in this edition. While the jurors were trying to guess the identity of the character hidden behind the mask, Iva Zanicchi put their hypothesis and nominated Cristiano Malgioglio among the contenders of the last edition, but this year passed to Amici where he has the role of juror and where in the same minutes he was arguing with Alessandra Celentano. When Malgioglio was named, there was an amused reaction in the studio, from the audience and from the presenter herself: “But that’s not possible, she works for another station,” said Milly Carlucci.
The new jury of The Masked Singer
This year Milly Carlucci has decided to renew the parterre of the show, so four judges will always have the task of guessing who is behind the masks that will be exhibited from week to week, but this time alongside Francesco Facchinetti and Flavio Insinna, confirmed For this third edition, the presenter of Rai1 and the vocal coach of Amici will no longer be there. In fact, Caterina Balivo is replaced by Iva Zanicchi, who was already the star of the last edition of Ballando con le stelle, where she managed to keep alive her enthusiasm and sincerity, elements essential for a dynamic competition like that of Masked are singers. On the other hand, the singer already held the role of judge in the last installment, replacing Arisa, who was unable to take part in the episode. The fourth juror, however, is rumored to be a big name in Italian cinema, namely Christian De Sica, who was a juror on Tale and which Show in the past.
