The Masked Singer’s Abbie Chatfield reveals the disturbing news she’s receiving from teenagers: ‘It’s getting a little too big to ignore now’

Abbie Chatfield says she often receives disturbing direct messages from teens who are fans of misogynistic TikTok influencer Andrew Tate.

Speaking on The Project on Sunday, the 27-year-old radio host said the lyrics are often threatening in nature.

“I get DMs from what appear to be early teens saying, ‘I hope Andrew Tate destroys you,’ or things along those lines,” Abbie revealed.

She added: “I also get comments calling me ‘Abbie Tate’ and mostly comments on TikTok. It’s really, really common there.’

Abbie said she’s had a “really hard” time dealing with Tate’s controversial videos on social media.

“It’s getting a little too big to ignore now. But I’m still afraid that talking about it with my followers or my audience won’t really do anything.”

“I’m sure my listeners already think so, they agree, yes he’s disgusting, he’s awful.”

Tate, whose videos have been viewed more than 11 billion times on TikTok, has been accused of spreading violent misogynistic messages.

Tate has said, among other things, that women “belong in the house”, “cannot drive” and are “man’s property”. He also argues that women “should have some responsibility” if they have been raped.

Experts fear these extreme views will be passed on to impressionable boys who are shown Tate’s content via TikTok’s algorithm.

Alongside hundreds of fan accounts sharing his content on TikTok, Tate encourages young boys to emulate his mentality through his “Hustler’s University,” which promises to get rich quick with cryptocurrency, property, or e-commerce.

It is believed that over 127,000 are enrolled in the course.

Prior to his recent fame, Tate was often credited as a former Big Brother 2016 contestant who was kicked out after a video surfaced online of him hitting his girlfriend with a belt.

More videos later surfaced of Tate telling a woman to count the bruises he allegedly gave her.

Both Tate and the woman deny abuse allegations.

Since then, his career has been overshadowed by allegations of misogyny, racism and human trafficking.

He is reportedly under investigation in Romania for human trafficking and sexual assault.
