It was the eldest daughter Camilla who, on behalf of the brothers Saverio (also son of Maurizio Costanzo and Flaminia Morandi) and Gabriele (son of Maurizio and Maria De Filippi), after the funeral in the church read a memory of her father, who died on Friday February 24th from pneumonia.
Visibly touched, Camilla Costanzo said on the altar: “I’ll be brief and I hope I finish the way dad would have liked.”
«Dad, we owe the wave of love that has flooded us to the good that you have given to so many people. You didn’t have three children, but many more. Many have considered you the father and teacher of life. They have encouraged, spurred and built talent. You leave us an important legacy, your greatest lesson, humility. You never expected such a big display of affection. You would have told us, as always, “But you see? All this for me.” Now you are in the hands of Sordi and Gassmann, we imagine you organizing another of your talk shows in paradise ». And then “nothing that you left us will be lost”.
Long applause followed.
