The model is quartered and parts are in the fridge and grinder

Dawn this Friday (February 24) was a day of terror and fear for the residents of the village of Lung Mei in the Tai Po district on the Hong Kong coast. Police found a real horror movie scene in a house with parts of human bodies in meat grinders, an electric saw, pots and two legs in a refrigerator.

Local police believe the body parts are those of model Abby Choi. Torso and head have yet to be found. According to security authorities, Abby’s exhusband is one of the suspects. The man’s brother and father have already been arrested and police believe they helped him with the crime. The information comes from the South China Morning Post.

Abby was only 28 years old and her exhusband (who was not named by the Chinese publication) is 31 years old. Together they had two children. According to the British portal Daily Star, the two argued in court about a fortune of the equivalent of 10.7 million euros (around R$ 58.9 million).

The model had more than 80 million followers on Instagram. Last month Abby starred in a campaign for French magazine L’Officiel. According to the South China Morning Post, the model and influencer was one of the “Most Wanted” personalities in China’s fashion industry.

grotesque details

According to Kowloon West Investigative Unit Superintendent Alan Chung Ngalun, the crime was “premeditated” and “well planned”. However, according to Chung Ngalun, the house was “prepared” for billeting.

“The parts we found in the fridge are two women’s legs. We’re still looking for the head, torso and hands,” he said.

Police say Abby’s exhusband’s family is directly linked to the killing, as it was her fatherinlaw who rented the house where body parts were found. Abby’s brotherinlaw drove the model to Lung Mei.

In addition to human body parts in meat grinders, a chainsaw, pots and two legs in a refrigerator, police also found a hatchet, hammer, face shield and a purple purse that may belong to Abby.

“The suspects covered the walls with a cloth and wore face shields and cloaks to avoid getting dirty while dismembering the body,” Chung Ngalun said.

Investigation

According to the superintendent, the investigation began on Thursday morning (23/02) with Abby’s disappearance, but was “disrupted” by the family of the model’s exhusband. “They lied and built ‘smoke screens’ to deceive us,” says the superintendent.

However, anonymous complaints and surveillance camera images contradict the versions of Abby’s fatherinlaw and brotherinlaw.

Throughout Friday, the Lung Mei home was under inspection and several items were removed from the site. Part of the movement was intercepted by journalist Denise Tsang.
