- Another woman managed to hide in a closet and call 911 in a whisper
- Police arrested one of the robbers – Danny Sommay – as he tried to escape, but the rest remained at large
A frightened woman whispered to 911 dispatchers from a closet in her California home as four masked robbers tied up the rest of her family and held them at gunpoint.
The heavily armed gang stormed into the $1.2 million Orange County home late Monday night and ordered the petrified family to the ground.
They subdued the only man in the house with a stun gun and demanded to know where the family kept their valuables.
They then tied up the man, an elderly woman, a 14-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl before searching the house.
All the men wore masks as they forced their victims, including a seven-year-old girl, to the ground and tied them up. This picture was taken in the family’s home with one of their own cameras

They arrested 29-year-old Banning resident Danny Sommay after he was seen throwing his gun over a wall.
They recovered the loaded 9mm handgun that had previously been reported stolen, but the rest of the gang slipped through the net and remained at large despite a search by a nearby Huntington Beach police helicopter.
