Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine will donate $1,000 to a foundation for every point he scores during the 2023-24 season.
The 25-year-old athlete made the announcement Thursday after teaming up with the Ohio Health Foundation to support men’s mental health.

So far, the Finn has collected a goal and an assist for two points in three games. Statistically speaking, Laine had his best campaign in 2017-2018. At that point, he had 70 points in 82 games with the Winnipeg Jets.
We bet many are hoping the young man will surpass that mark this year. In order for this to happen, Laine has to stay healthy. He hasn’t played in more than 55 games in his last three seasons.
