The Most Notable Memes to Forget Margot Robbie and “Barbie” at the 2024 Oscars: " is still a Mojo Dojo Casa house" Cinemania

Despite the eight Barbie nominations at the 2024 OscarsSocial networks were on fire due to the absence of the highest-grossing film of 2024 in some of the main categories of the Hollywood Academy Awards.

Therefore, Margot Robbie was left out of the Best Actress category after sneaking into the entire awards season. A category ultimately contested by Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for The Moon Killers, Sandra Hülser for Anatomy of a Fall, Carey Mulligan for Maestro and Emma Stone for Poor Creatures.

On his part Greta Gerwig also didn’t make it into the “Best Director” category. In it we find Justine Triet for “Anatomy of a Fall”, Martin Scorsese for “The Moon Killers”, Christopher Nolan for “Oppenheimer”, Yorgos Lanthimos for “Poor Creatures” and Jonathan Glazer for “The Zone of Interest”.

“Justice for Barbie”, “I ignore Margot Robbie” or “The world is still a Mojo Dojo Casa House” were the slogans most frequently uttered by users of X, formerly known as Twitterwho vacillate between anger and confusion at the film's lack of presence compared to the 13 nominations for Oppenheimer, the 11 for Poor Creatures or the 10 for The Moon Killers.

Who does that? The top nominees were Ryan Gosling and America Ferrerathe actors who play Ken and Gloria, as well as the Songs I'm Just Ken (by Mark Ronson & Andrew Wyatt) and What was I created for? (by Billie Eilish & Finneas O'Connell), but Dua Lipa's song was left out.

The 2024 Oscars promise to be accompanied by the best music from Gerwig's film, with the possible performance that everyone wants: Ryan Gosling on stage at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. We have to wait March 10th to find out what finally happens in the celebration of the best cinema hitting theaters in 2023.
