The mystery behind Prince Harry’s hair replacement: The Duke of Sussex’s photo for a mental health start-up shows him with thick, dark locks – days after they appeared much thinner and lighter at a polo match in Singapore
When the Duke of Sussex joined American mental health tech start-up BetterUp in 2021, he stated that he intended to “help make a difference in people’s lives”.
Well, he certainly seems to be having an impact on his bare thatched roof.
A new photo was posted on his profile page on the company’s website, showing him thick, dark curls.
As revealed in photos of Prince Harry from his polo match in Singapore last week, his hair usually appears much thinner and lighter.
Hair is a touchy subject for the California-based son of King Charles, 38, who is BetterUp’s chief impact officer.

In one of his numerous quips about his older brother in his memoir, Spare, he described Prince William’s hair loss as “alarming” and “more advanced than mine,” despite the two-year age difference.
Maybe the heir to the throne should join BetterUp – or should that be BetterHair?
This comes after a leading British cosmetic surgeon claimed in 2021 that Prince Harry’s hair loss had accelerated since moving to the US with Meghan and predicted he would be virtually bald by the age of 50.
But dr Asim Shahmalak of the Crown Clinic in Manchester says the Duke of Sussex is going bald at a slower rate than Prince William and is ten years behind his older brother when it comes to hair loss.
dr Shahmalak said that at age 36, Harry is in the same stage of hair loss as William was when he was 26.

He added, “Harry’s baldness gene isn’t as strong, but he still sheds his hair quickly.” Currently, Harry’s hair loss is most common around the crown of his head.
“He has a growing bald spot across the crown of his head and you can also see that his hair is thinning towards the front.”
“Without treatment, the acceleration that we’ve seen over the past 15 months will only increase over the next year.” Harry may never be as bald as his brother William. William was more affected than any other royal man.”
Meanwhile, in 2021, a celebrity hairstylist claimed that Harry showed off “noticeably” thinner hair during an outing in New York after “clever retouching skills” gave him “full body” curls that match those of Meghan Markle on her current Time 100 covers fit.
