The natural spectacle of snow geese – L’Express – L’Express – Drummondville

NATURE. The Greater Snow Geese are back. If you stop in impressive numbers on the Saint-François river, near the public beach, you can easily spot them until mid-November, witnessing a breathtaking natural spectacle.

Ornithologists agree that the best time to observe these majestic birds is dawn and sunset until mid-November. Takeoff takes place at daybreak, but usually in several successive flights. The geese then move back and forth between fields and nearby waterways throughout the day before ending up back on the river at sunset.

In the coming weeks it will be possible to attend three information sessions organized by the Regional Environmental Council of Centre-du-Québec (CRECQ):

Saturday, November 11th at 7 a.m., 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (Note that it is best to arrive around 6:30 a.m. to witness the majestic flights of these birds.)

Saturday November 18th at 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. (Same applies, we recommend arriving at 6:30 a.m.)

Sunday, November 26th at 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. (Note that it is best to arrive around 3:30 p.m. to witness the magnificent show.)

Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. (CGM)
