Born in London, raised in Hong Kong until the age of nine, she went to boarding school in Switzerland.
Her father Robert later set up an investment business which brought him and his family even more money – £420million in 2018 alone.
She attended a bilingual school in Paris in the 1980s before transferring to New York for her senior year at the Masters School.

She began studying art history at NYU in 1993, and it was in the city that she first met Prince Pavlos.
The pair met on a blind date arranged by New York investment banker Alecko Papamarkou, a mutual friend who was convinced they would hit it off.
“We clicked,” the princess told Vanity Fair in 2008. “It was love at first sight. I knew he was the person I would marry.”

Together, the family enjoys a life befitting the world’s mega-rich, dividing their time between their stunning home on New York’s Upper East Side and vacations around the world.

In 2016, the glamorous queen teamed up with Marks & Spencer to create an exclusive 33-piece collection of clothing, accessories and gifts for babies and children.

Meanwhile, in 2020, she released a book, Manners Start at Breakfast: Modern Family Etiquette.
But while Marie-Chantal, whose own family was arguably even wealthier than the royal family she married into, has always enjoyed the finer things in life, she explained that when it comes to parenthood, things are surprisingly simple — and don’t change depending on how much money you have in the bank.

For the well-heeled society, Supermum claims that the key to successfully raising children is simply teaching them the importance of having good manners and being polite.
“It’s statistically proven that well-mannered children do better in life,” she explained in an interview with Hello! Magazine. “This kid will be remembered for his courtesy.”
In her interview with Hello! she explained that it is important to teach children these lessons from an early age.
She said: “I believe that children should be taught from a young age to behave in a caring and mindful manner. You must learn to be aware of others and teach them these simple values, no matter how spongy they are.

“When the kids are older, the lessons are much harder to accept. I really like to think that Olympia took everything on board,” she said, referring to her eldest.
By now, Marie-Chantal has certainly amassed an abundance of fans online, with a whopping 213,000 followers on Instagram.
There she shares snaps of her family’s lavish lifestyle – from excursions on board in Greece to photos of her brood in one of their many homes.
Recent images show the group of seven posing in black ties for Christmas, while another photo shows the lavishly decorated Thanksgiving table.
The couple continue to be a fixture at royal events across Europe and were recently photographed at an anniversary event for Denmark’s Queen Margrethe

Although Greece has not officially been a monarchy since the 1970s, Marie-Chantal and her husband are still known as HRH the Crown Prince and Crown Princess – and their children also bear these titles.
King Constantine and his son, the Crown Prince, have no official mandate but nonetheless take an active part in royal life across Europe.
The family has close ties to British royalty as Prince William is Constantine’s godfather.
