The NFL’s Taylor Swift mania has officially spread to Germany as the pop star’s hit “Cruel Summer” will be played before her boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Chiefs’ game against the Dolphins in Frankfurt, but unfortunately she didn’t travel to to keep cheering him on.
The song, which came out in June, was heard by fans on Saturday at Deutsche Bank Park, the home stadium of Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
A day before her single was played overseas, Taylor walked the streets of the Big Apple with her close friend Selena Gomez and Brittany Mahomes – the wife of the Chiefs’ starting quarterback.
She decided not to travel to Germany to see her boyfriend play as she prepares to tour South America next week.
On November 5, she will first perform at the Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, before traveling to Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to sing at the Estadio Nilton Santos – home of Brasiliero Serie A leaders Botafago.

Meanwhile, several members of the Chiefs said ahead of the NFL’s Germany game that they want to be the “team of the world” by going global with star power and Super Bowl success.
