The NHL is testing a new formula tonight

For the first time in their history, all 32 teams in the National Hockey League (NHL) will be in action on the same night of the week, Tuesday night.

On this evening, titled “Frozen Frenzy,” fans can listen to more than seven hours of non-stop hockey. A game starts every 15 or 30 minutes between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

It begins with the duel between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Washington Capitals, which will be presented at the Capital One Arena at 6 p.m. The final opening game of the evening will take place at 11 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena in the game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Montreal Canadiens, who defeated the Buffalo Sabers 3-1 on Monday, are in action when they host the New Jersey Devils at the Bell Center at 7:15 p.m.

It is only the second time in NHL history that all 32 teams were in action at the same time. The last time was last Saturday, April 8th. However, this is the first time that all games start at different times.

Wings coach doesn’t like playing time

For their part, the Detroit Red Wings host the Seattle Kraken in a competitive game at Little Caesars Arena. However, the meeting on the sidelines of the “Frozen Frenzy” will not start until 8:15 p.m.

Red Wings head coach Derek Lalonde doesn’t like this late start to the game at all.

“It’s absolutely terrible,” said the man whose comments were reported by The Hockey News. I understand why the league is doing this, but I don’t know why our fans, who are the most loyal and passionate of all, have to come to the arena for a game that starts at 8:23 p.m. My family won’t come. So they will stay at home.”

The NHL’s current leading scorer, Alex DeBrincat, isn’t too bothered by the timing of the game.

“Maybe I’ll take a little longer nap this afternoon,” said the Wings striker, who has twelve points in six games. The rest will be pretty much the same. It’s just an hour later, it’s not that bad.”

This season, Detroit has a record of five wins and one loss in six games. With 30 goals, it is the team that has scored the most goals so far.
