Florence, May 11, 2022 – After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Night of the Museums returns on Saturday May 14, an event that has been taking place simultaneously throughout Europe since 2005 and which involves around 3,000 museums in 30 countries. A great opportunity to enter the cultural sites and admire the masterpieces at an unusual time like the night, for the symbolic price of just one euro. Here are the museums that are open in Tuscany. FLORENCE For the symbolic price of one euro, you can visit the Uffizi Gallery from 7pm to 10pm, the Accademia Gallery stays open from 7pm to 10pm, the ticket offices close 30 minutes earlier. The Museum of San Marco is open from 18:00 to 21:00, the Archaeological Museum from 20:00 to 23:00, while the Bargello Museum opens at 22:00 and the ticket office closes an hour earlier. FIESOLE The Museums of Fiesole take part in the European Night of Museums with the extraordinary and free opening of the Archaeological Museum from 7pm to 11.30pm. At night the museum is illuminated with the event “Under a new light”, at 8.30 p.m. the results of the recent work that led to the construction of the new lighting system of the museum will be presented to the public with a guided tour that will allow you to see some finds in the light to re-read of details that are now more visible than ever. In the evening, you can deepen your knowledge of the museum with guided tours at 7:15 p.m., 8:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. and enjoy the special evening atmosphere of its rooms.
