Several Cuban migrants were arrested on December 4th on the way to the United States.
By both land and sea, the Cubans who made the journey ended up in the hands of the US and Mexican authorities after wiretapping operations.

Cubans intercepted in the Florida Keys
According to a statement by the chief agent of border protection in the region, Walter N. Slosar, a Group of Cubans arrested in the Florida Keys.
The official explained that it was total 30 migrantswho were arrested by the patrol after landing on the islands.
According to the report, the Cubans were in two different boats, both improvised.
A few days ago they were also intercepted in these keys 25 Cubans from Matanzasamong which a minor was traveling.
The latest Coast Guard data shows that to date, as of October 1, 2022, nearly 3,000 Cubans have been taken into official custody in this way.
Cubans arrested in Mexico
On the other hand, the Mexican immigration authorities, including the State Police and the National Institute for Migration (INM) a total of 22 Cubans were arrested in Veracruz.
The first part of this group was identified after an operation in a hotel in the Villa Verde neighborhood of Córdoba.
Local media reports that after calling the authorities, some were told to report their presence there 20 Cubans were discovered and arrested.
Two other Cubans were then spotted in the community of Acayucan during an operation by local police on the Acayucan-Tinaja highway.
In addition to the Cubans, people from Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti and the Congo also traveled.
The migratory situation of the Cubans (and the rest of the detainees) will be processed by the INM, which will decide whether or not to repatriate them.
