Bouchard, 23, became a restricted free agent after completing his rookie contract last season. In the 2022–2023 season, he reached the 40-point mark for the second straight year with fewer than eight goals and 32 assists in 82 games. He did well in the playoffs with 17 points in 12 games, but his team collapsed in the second round.
