The One Piece remake could fix the original anime's biggest mistake

Netflix recently announced a new One Piece anime that is in development. It could fix a big problem with the original.

The anime, titled The One Piece, is produced by WIT Studio, which is responsible for the animation of Spy x Family and Attack on Titan.

Announced during Jump Festa, “One Piece” marks a collaboration between Shueisha, Fuji Television Network and Toei Animation Co.

In a joint statement, the committee expressed their enthusiasm for this innovative project, which will be different from the original anime.

One Piece is one of the most popular anime in the world.

Wit Studio's One Piece could improve on the pacing and animation of the original

There are few studios that do this remake as well as Wit Studio, as they can solve fans' problems with the main anime.

As popular as “One Piece” is, it is not immune to criticism. From the lackluster animation in the first few hundred episodes due to technological limitations to the terrible pacing that still continues, Wit Studio's reimagining of the series is a match made in heaven.

The studio is known for its stunning visuals and fidelity to what it adapts, with no issues with padding or pacing that the main anime suffered from. This will attract interested fans who have been turned away by these topics.

Unfortunately, it looks like the remake won't be releasing any time soon, as Wit Studio has announced that it is hiring animators to begin work on the series, meaning the project is still in its early stages.

There's still plenty to be excited about as fans looking to rewatch One Piece will be able to experience the iconic series in all its glory.

One Piece is available to watch on Netflix.
