The latest episode of Peaky Blinders sparked strong reactions from viewers. Many praised the riveting 80-minute conclusion despite its ambiguous ending, setting the stage for a spin-off film that has already been confirmed.
In the sixth season of Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby’s wife Lizzie (played by Natasha O’Keeffe) announced that she was leaving him, prompting the protagonist (Cillian Murphy) to move to Canada.
However, there was a tense exchange between the main character and his cousin Michael (Finn Cole) that left fans on the edge of their seats.
Tease: Ten years after the British crime drama first aired, Steven took to Instagram and admitted the story was “not over yet” and told fans to “watch this space.”
Desperate to avenge the death of his mother Polly Gray (the late Helen McCrory), Michael attempted to murder his relative by blowing up his car.
He thought he had succeeded, walked into a bar and said: “Mom, it’s done.” It’s over. “My God, forgive me,” but he couldn’t have been more wrong.
Tommy had ordered his friend Johnny Dogs (Packy Lee) to load a timed bomb onto a nearby vehicle and soon followed Michael into the tavern.
He boomed, “Talk to me.” “Talk to me, Michael,” as his astonished cousin looked on, before replying, “You killed her.”
Tommy replied, “Polly made her own decisions, Michael,” who argued, “No.” No one around you makes a choice without your opinion, Tom.
“Not Arthur, not me, not Ada. We cannot escape you, your deadly hand is always on our shoulders.’
The World War I veteran then said: “She won’t visit me anymore” before shooting Michael in the eye.
This comes after Cillian addressed rumors of a cinema version of Peaky Blinders, saying he will “wait and see” what happens.
The 47-year-old actor revealed all about a possible film production and spoke about the film adaptation of BBC’s Peaky Blinders.

Author and creator of the series Steven Knight had recently stated that he had completed a script for a feature film version.
When asked if he had spoken to Steven, Cillian told Radio Times: “That’s probably the worst thing about Peaky Blinders – constantly being asked about the film!”
“I would like to do a movie if there’s more story to tell. “I’ll wait and see, but I don’t have an update for you on that.”
The Irish actor, who plays Tommy Shelby in the six-part drama series, also spoke about how the series rose to fame.
He said: “It started as a small show on a Sunday night and grew very slowly and with no hype, no billboards, no advertising campaign.”
“It just grew because people told others to watch it. “I’m really proud that there’s never been a plateau and each series has become richer and stronger than the last.”
