In contrast to Lula and Vladimir Putin Hillary Clinton defended Israel’s right to take action against the terrorist group Hamas.
“The people who are now calling for a ceasefire do not understand Hamas. That’s not possible. This year, Hillary also stated that Israel’s response to constant rocket fire from Gaza was appropriate.
“The Israelis are absolutely right that they can’t just sit back and let it rain missiles,” she said on Charlie Rose’s PBS talk show. “They have a missile defense system that works well, but there is no certainty about that. Now drones are being launched from Gaza.”
Hillary, wife of former President Bill Clinton, was first lady from 1993 to 2001; between 2001 and 2009 she was Senator for New York; Foreign Minister between 2009 and 2013; She also presented herself as the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 2016 election, but was defeated by Donald Trump.
