A photo of former Cuban broadcaster Rafael Serrano with two young people in a bar has gone viral on social media, triggering hundreds of comments.
In the picture, the spokesman for the Cuban regime appears, wearing red trousers, a white shirt and black slippers, hugging the two young women while they pose in front of the camera and imitating them with a strand of hair over their lips and a mustache, the most characteristic physical feature of the Serrano.
The origin of the image has not yet been specified, but thousands of people have reacted to the photo shared this Wednesday on various social networks, mainly Instagram.
The place identified in the comments of netizens was the El Cho bar in the La Palma neighborhood of Havana.
The former announcer, who was the usual anchor of the Cuban national television news program and retired in 2021, was the subject of a wide range of comments.
“El Serra thrown in the middle street with some broken pieces,” joked the humorous group Los Pichy Boys when the picture was published.
“Go alone, so everyone is a communist,” someone said in reference to the photo.
in the past few years, Serrano has been the subject of controversy especially for his trips to South Florida where some of his relatives live.
These trips have prompted the media and social networks to question the presenter’s need to visit the city of Miami, which he has described as a “safe haven for some of the country and the world’s most dangerous terrorists.”
