A photo taken in Ukraine shows an anomaly: it shows a soldier and a group of children walking between overturned cars as if following an explosion. However, the window panes surrounding the site are intact: this has led many users to believe that in reality, once again, the image of the devastation has been artfully constructed by the western media to stage an attack that is really just a staged attack. But there is an explanation for this oddity.
For those in a hurry:
- A photo of overturned cars in front of perfectly intact glass is used to demonstrate how the Ukraine bombing is being faked and staged by western media.
- In reality, it was not a bombing raid that overthrew these machines: no one has ever supported this hypothesis
- Instead, residents of the neighborhood claimed that the cars were overturned by Russian army soldiers
analyses
“Scoop. Cars overturned, but the glass in the windows is intact. Either Putin has new bombs that don’t even leave holes in the ground, or you drink everything,” writes a user on Facebook. “I want them too! Transparent titanium glass?” another ironically asks that in the attached photo, in both cases, despite an alleged bomb knocking over several cars, the windows of the adjacent buildings didn’t even get a scratch.
It would have happened in Ukraine at an unspecified point in the quoted articles: The thesis being tried to prove is that in this case too we have overwhelming evidence that can show that the ongoing conflict in Ukraine is staged became the western media. .
Associated Press photo
The photo in question was taken April 4, 2022 by Associated Press (AP) photographer Rodrigo Abd in Bucha, Ukraine. The text that originally accompanied the image read: “A Ukrainian soldier walks with children and passes by Car damaged by the war against Russia, in Buka, on the outskirts of Kyiv ». We therefore find no evidence of an alleged bomb attack. On the other hand, on the same day and in the same place as the photos, AP reports the testimony of 57-year-old Tanya Nedashkivs’ka, who recounts the murder of her husband Vasyl Nedashkivskyi by Russian soldiers. The picture was reprinted by the Ukrainian national and international media, but nobody speaks of a bomb attack: the only reference relates to the attack on the city of Bucha and the consequences of the war in general.
Where the photo was taken
We can deny the fact that the machines were strategically placed in this position by the Ukrainians themselves to offer an untrue picture of the city’s conditions: as the Greek fact-checkers from Ellinikaoaxes.gr reconstruct, the photo was actually taken in some condominiums in near Santova and Vodoprovinda streets, and this information is verifiable thanks to a trivial overview on Google Maps.
The video of the drone
A drone that flew over the same area between March 23 and March 30, 2022 and took pictures check by independent bodies, allows us to verify whether the overturned cars were already on site in the last week of March or when the Russians were still in control of the area (which they retained until March 31): we can therefore rule that out Moscow army has offered for a show aimed at drawing water in the mill in Kyiv.
Images mentioned by Ellinika fact-checkers
On the other hand, it’s not even conceivable that before the outbreak of the war, the residents of the neighborhood enjoyed knocking over the condominium cars: a video At the end of February 2022, before the arrival of the Russian army, he did not take back a car that had overturned on the spot. The fact remains that it is not yet clear what really happened.
The media does not speak of an “explosion”
These cars were hardly damaged by a bombing raid: the articles of AP and Reuters, as well as the articles of international newspapers, which take them from different angles, make us conclude that the cars do not suffer any serious damage beyond the anomalous position. or typical signs of an explosion. However, in an interview leaked to Reuters by a resident of the area and published on April 7 (three days after the shooting in question), we read:
(…) Nedaskowski, 47, and another local were found dead – their mutilated bodies were found on an underground staircase in a building in the complex – and many of the group’s residents had fled.
A Renault Captur SUV and an Audi sedan were overturned in the parking lot.
A man named Oleksii Tarasevich, an engineer who witnessed what happened in the building, is speaking. It still is:
Russian troops began arriving in Bucha on February 27, locals said, a week before they reached the complex on Vodoprovinda Street.
There they looted three apartments in one of the buildings they were using as a command post and occupied a basement.. After pictures by Tarasevic, Soldiers parked armored vehicles and military trucks in the yard of the apartment complex.
An image released by Reuters proving the presence of military vehicles in the neighborhood
The testimonies of the surviving citizens of Bucha
Tarasevich’s testimony can be considered reliable as he made several hearings of evidence that day. He and other neighbors, whose statements are supported by photos, told Reuters and the AP Armored vehicles and Russian military trucks were in the area where the overturned vehicles were found. Everyone agrees that the damage to cars it can be explained by the presence of a Russian military force in the neighborhood. Even photographer Emanuele Satolli, who was there on behalf of the Wall Street Journal, said: “In the place where I took my photos, in the city of Bucha, I have I met several citizens and they all told me that the cars were overturned by the Russians with tanks but they didn’t know why the Russians did it.
In fact, overturning machines in such situations is by no means an uncommon practice: in the city of Bucharest or in other urban areas of Ukraine it has been reported several times Overturned vehicles were found. This is because it is possible to use cars B. as a roadblock or hiding place, by the forces controlling a given point. In the specific case of Bucha, this is also possible The vehicles were overturned by Russian soldiers to render them unusable or to clear the road to facilitate the passage of heavy vehicles. The witness Tarasevich once again definitively confirms the hypothesis, who, in order to avoid any doubt, told the ellinika fact-checkers: “The cars were in the yard of our house overturned by Russian soldiers. They did this to hide their military equipment. During the construction of these “shelters”, Russian soldiers installed their equipment near the buildings and covered them with cars on both sides. They also hid the equipment from possible reconnaissance from space or from drones, covering them with carpets and blankets, which they took from the apartments of the house in the photo they broke into.
Conclusions
The photo was taken in the Ukrainian city of Bucha e it was not presented in the media to show the impact of the alleged Russian bombing. The damage to the cars was caused by the war and can have many causes, for example using the cars as checkpoints or cover points from enemy fire or to conceal material. Corresponding eyewitnesses of the specified district of the city of Bucha, the vehicles were intentionally overturned by members of the Russian army who were staying in a residential building very close to the place where the photograph in question was taken.
