Forward Ilya Mikheyev’s agent Dan Milstein felt the need to defend the Vancouver Canucks on Monday.
The 29-year-old hockey player’s 2022-2023 season ended last January due to injury. General manager Patrik Allvin indicated at the time that his player would be healthy to take part in the next training camp.

However, Mikheyev left the Canucks camp after a few days. The British Columbia Club justified this departure with “personal reasons”.
Several Canucks fans expressed their concerns on social media, blaming the organization’s handling of the Russian’s injury. Recall that last year the National Hockey League Players Association investigated the Canucks’ practices related to forward Tanner Pearson’s injury.
“I wanted to provide clarity about Ilya Mikheyev’s situation in Vancouver,” Milstein wrote on his X account. “All players heal differently. He is working very hard to be back. He just needs more time and will be back in the lineup. The Canucks treated Ilya great during his surgery and rehab. I know he will be ready soon and I can’t wait to play.”
