The police are investigating against NBA star

Memphis Grizzlies star player Ja Morant could be in hot water as Colorado police opened an investigation into him.

Last Saturday, the 23-year-old rapped shirtless in a live video stream on his Instagram account. At one point, onlookers could see Morant holding a gun.

Three days later, Colorado authorities announced they were investigating the player’s actions to determine if he committed a crime. It appears that Morant’s video was filmed in the community of Glendale, a Denver suburb known for its strip bars and shopping malls.

The NBA also opened an investigation and Morant was suspended for two games by the Grizzlies. He missed Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers and will miss Tuesday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said Morant understands he’s made “difficult and questionable decisions” in the past.

“He’s certainly ashamed of the mistakes he’s made, but only time will tell. [s’il a appris]. We will support him and hold him accountable for any changes,” the pilot added.

Not his first prank

This isn’t the first time the slam dunk specialist has made headlines for the wrong reasons. In the past few weeks, a 17-year-old had accused him of hitting him and approaching him with a gun. A Memphis security guard accused Morant of pushing him around and making threats against him.

In addition, the NBA opened another investigation against him last January. A member of the 23-year-old’s entourage was banned from Grizzlies home games for a year after an incident following a game against the Indiana Pacers. Several members of that team reportedly saw a red dot aimed at them, and a security officer believed the laser was attached to a weapon. The Silver Circuit confirmed individuals were banned but said its investigation found no evidence anyone had been threatened with a gun.

Despite his antics, Morant is having an excellent season on the pitch. He is sixth on the Silver Tour in points per game (27.1) and fifth in assists per duel (8.2).
