In a press release published on the social network she referred to “recent changes in the professional and personal spheres” of her life.
Radio-Canada announced the news earlier.
Ms Moisan filed a bullying complaint against Liberal MP Frédérique Beauchemin and three of her staff last October. This complaint led to Mr Beauchemin's expulsion from the Liberal Group. After Ms. Moisan withdrew her complaint, he was able to rejoin the caucus in December.
The member for Marguerite-Bourgeois expressed his intention to enter the race for the leadership of the PLQ last year.
This is the second president of the PLQ's youth wing to resign from her roles in less than a year. She took over the leadership of the political organization on September 1, 2023, following the resignation of her predecessor Laurence Lefebvre, who held these functions for six months.
Ms Moisan stated that she wanted to “ensure an appropriate transition”.
