The Prince and Princess of Wales yesterday shared amazing behind-the-scenes footage of their time at the King’s coronation.

Prince William, 40, and Kate Middleton, 41, have posted an intimate clip online showing their side of yesterday’s momentous event when King Charles and Queen Camilla were crowned at Westminster Abbey in London.

Sweet footage shared on the couple’s social media Reports showed that father-of-three William was walking his daughter Princess Charlotte, eight, and brother Prince Louis, five, as they boarded the vehicles taking them to the service.

A well-dressed Charlotte, wearing an Alexander McQueen dress and cape, gasps with delight before she and her family get into the cars.

The remainder of the clip shows highlights of the family throughout the day, from the procession to the Abbey to the flypast on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

In another post, the Prince and Princess of Wales also retweeted a message from the Royal Air Force sharing beautiful images of key moments from this afternoon.

“I noticed that the rotation crews did the heavy lifting…perfect flying conditions if you ask me!” A big thank you to everyone who made today possible,” read the message, signed ‘W’ for William.

The news poked fun at the rainy afternoon, which saw RAF Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Wigston say it was “50/50” if the flypast would go ahead, warning that low cloud and rain made it “impossible” for pilots would do to navigate .

“The Royal Air Force was incredibly proud to join the Royal Navy, British Army and Commonwealth Forces in taking part in His Majesty the King’s coronation procession,” the RAF tweet said.

The king’s guests arrived at the abbey from 7am – four hours before the ceremony. Around 100 heads of state are in London, with representatives from 203 countries taking part.
