Kate, 40, looked typically stylish in the autumn dress paired with a £460 Max&Co pure wool cross-country coat, a £295 DeMellier London handbag and a £60 Boden woven waist belt.

The royal couple, who both wore a poppy on their lapels ahead of Remembrance Day on November 11, are visiting the spa town to raise funds to support young people’s mental health in a collaboration led by the Royal Foundation.

Wearing a burgundy sweater and blue shirt under a navy jacket, Kate and Prince William, 40, visited The Street – a community center that houses organizations to grow and develop their services – where they met the scholarship panel of young people from the area, which will distribute the funds to local projects.

The Royal Foundation and Two Ridings Community Foundation have brought together local donors to secure funding to support the work of community-led organizations working with young people in the Scarborough area.

The young people on the panel were themselves supported by local community organizations and the meeting is an opportunity to understand how grant decisions were made and learn more about how this funding will help young people in Scarborough.

Kate and William will then meet three local charities that are beneficiaries of the funding and see firsthand some of the work they are doing to make a difference in their community and the benefits of local funding.

On Tuesday, Prince William remained professional as ever as he handed out awards in his first public appearance since The Crown confirmed his new series will feature Princess Diana’s infamous panoramic interview with Martin Bashir.

The Prince of Wales attended the annual Tusk Conservation Awards, of which he is a patron, at Hampton Court Palace after Netflix released the trailer for the fifth series of the fictional royal drama, which featured a teaser of the 1995 interview – which William previously shared the media asked had never aired it again.

He described the BBC interview as “unethical” and claimed it sparked the events that led to the loss of his mother’s life two years later. Although fans of the show initially thought only a few seconds of the interview would be shown, it has now been reported that it will instead be cut to a four-minute, 23-second segment.

That evening, the 40-year-old Prince of Wales looked focused as he attended the event in a display of stoicism, and later greeted guests including opera singer Katherine Jenkins with a beaming smile on his face. Wearing a black tuxedo with a lustrous black bow tie and a poppy on his lapel ahead of Remembrance Day on November 11, he was as professional as ever.

During the ceremony, he commended the “truly remarkable people working on the front lines of conservation in Africa today” and presented them with awards for their work.
