As soon as the cast for the fourth season of Big Brother Celebrities was announced, viewers expressed their dismay that there were again many comedians.
While speaking to producer Nathalie Brigitte Bustos about the Bastos situation (read the whole thing here), we asked her for her thoughts on this recurring public criticism.
“There aren't that many [des humoristes, NDLR ] ” she said first. “Daniel Savoie is not a comedian. He's a funny character, but he's much more of a writer than a comedian. We don't count him as a comedian. Joëlle is not a comedian either. She did the LNI, she is an actress. »
“The comedians for whom this is their main job are Dave Morgan, Érika Suarez and Mélanie Ghanimé. The worst thing is that, unlike those of other years, they do not develop in the same circle. They are not people mingling with each other. Dave and Erika's paths have already crossed, but they have never spoken to each other. Mélanie does her humor in a different way, she doesn't necessarily go to comedy nights. »

“I’m really proud of this year’s cohort,” she says. “It's a nice mix of the players from Season 2, who were very strategic, and the charisma and personalities we had in Season 3. It will give us both good plays and fun, interesting and friendly moments in life.” »
“Everyone at home can bond with one of the people who are here this year,” she continues. “ [Par exemple, NDLR] Frédérique, who came from the Paralympics, was the one who signaled to us that she wanted to take part. We met her and fell in love with her. She is a big fan of the show. The big fans are the young people: Danick, Frédérique, Chloé, Pascal, Gabrielle. »
We know from the start that the public fell in love with the colorful Patsy Gallant. “A big thank you to Gabriel, our celebrity director, who listened to shows with her. She did her homework, Patsy. It's just that there she said loudly: “Do you want to make an alliance?” She is so sweet! » says the producer.
Patsy is one of our favorites of this new edition with this contestant who made quite a statement earlier in the week. We are convinced that she will be able to surprise us all season long.
