The Project’s Chrissie Swan is struggling to host the show, which ‘sounds like Marlon Brando from The Godfather’ after losing her voice on The Logies
Chrissie Swan left her co-stars and viewers alike amused as she hosted The Project on Monday night, sounding very raspy indeed.
The television personality was forced to admit she had lost her voice after partying at The Logies the night before.
“How was your night Chrissie? How did you go?’ co-star Waleed Aly asked her.

“Full disclosure,” Chrissie croaked in response, her voice extremely hoarse and barely audible, before collapsing on the desk laughing.
Comedian Dave Thornton quipped, “How good it is that Marlon Brando is hosting The Godfather’s project!” to more laughter from the podium.
Chrissie then explained: “When I’m having a good time I generally lose my voice and I thought I got away with it.

“The truth is it happened quite late so we couldn’t find a replacement,” Waleed added.
“I called the god of the project around 2pm and said I’m going to have a problem here, but we’re going to move on,” Chrissie croaked.
Viewers online had mixed feelings, with one writing on Twitter: “Chrissie Swan is putting her facial expressions to good use with no voice tonight.”
“The great thing is that we make extra money because we have a 1300 number and when you call you can hear what they’re talking about,” Dave chimed in, joking.

Another said: I don’t think much of Chrissie’s Humphrey B Bear impersonation.
Another added: “C’mon Chrissie go home. It’s quite embarrassing to hear you speak. How did they even allow you to continue tonight. Had to switch off.’
