The project’s Sarah Harris makes lewd jokes about men’s private parts

Sarah Harris repeatedly made lewd jokes about men’s privates on episodes of “Sunday Project” and “The Project,” rolling her eyes and making her co-hosts laugh in two segments in one day.

The jokes come just a few months after Harris was criticized for her reaction to queer comedian Reuben Kaye’s now infamous Jesus joke, which forced her to apologize and sparked calls for the project to be canceled.

Harris started the week with a joke about The Sunday Project during an interview with US astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who is currently on an Asia Pacific tour of his show Cosmic Perspectives on Civilization.

The Channel Ten star quizzed the NASA advocate and cosmos philosopher about the moon landing theories, asking Tyson about factors conspiracy theorists believe prove the Apollo 11 landing in 1969 was fake.

“What about the flag, and if the flag doesn’t fly in the wind and there aren’t footprints in the moondust?” Harris asked.

Tyson replied: “There are footprints in the moondust and on the flag. Did you notice there was a stick in it or it would have just gone limp, okay?”

Harris replied, “I know this problem.” There’s a nasal spray for that now,” and shrugged his shoulders theatrically.

The camera then shows co-moderator Michael Hing laughing hysterically.

Two nights later, Harris co-hosted “The Project” with co-hosts Waleed Aly, Kate Langbroek and Sam Taunton for a series of stories including the release of the new Barbie film.

Tuesday’s focus was a story about the character of Ken, Barbie’s misfit, played by US actor Ryan Gosling alongside Margot Robbie.

Introducing the segment, Harris said, “He could just be Ken, but Ryan Gosling steals the show leading up to the Barbie movie with his incredible ‘Ken energy.'”

“In a musical for the show ‘I’m Just Ken,’ Ryan sings an emotional ballad about, well, just being Ken.”

Snippets of Ken’s song played, showing him shirtless, flexing his muscles and singing, “It doesn’t seem to matter what I do, I’m always number two… ‘Cause I’m just Ken, wherever I go.” 10. Is it my destiny to live and die of blond virginity?’

As the song ended, Harris chimed in, noting, “That’s a big kenergy for a doll – with a hill, don’t you think?”

A cheerful Kate Langbroek said, “He’s really hot in that,” to which Harris replied, “He’s very pretty… my Ken dolls didn’t look like it.”

Kate Langbroek: “What about the big fur coat, I want a bit of that… very collectible.”

In March, Sarah Harris burst out laughing herself when The Project hosted comedian Reuben Kaye, who spoke about the hatred he felt for his sexuality and for wearing drag dressing, particularly in the Christian community.

“I love Jesus, I love any man who can get nailed for three days and then come back for more,” Kaye quipped.

Harris appeared to think the joke was derogatory and erupted in laughter from the other panel members, while Waleed Aly seemed stunned by the joke.

The Jesus joke aired on Tuesday February 28 and the next night Harris, along with Waleed Ally, apologized live to viewers.

However, this did not stop the backlash as some members of Australia’s Christian and Muslim communities launched a protest and social media was flooded with hashtags such as #CancelTheProject and #BoycottTheProject.
