Isadora is a cinephile, the kind of person who will watch four movies a day if they have the time. He always watched the great actors on the television screen without the slightest idea that one day that would be his job. Acting didn’t even cross my mind. Isadora’s passion was dancing. Jazz, ballet, rhythmic gymnastics … from then on he had his first contact with the stage and took his latent desire to act. It wasn’t until she was 16 that Isadora decided to give theater a chance and attended a vacation course in São Paulo. There the Paraibana found her vocation.
Besides acting, Isadora is so passionate about photography that she is considering pursuing a career in camera.
I plan to one day have my own film production company and direct when I have more experience.”

Immediately after the first course, Isadora decided to deepen her studies. She was fluent in English when she lived in the United States from the ages of 5 to 9. So he decided to learn a new language and sail to France.

I spent a year in Paris studying French cinema and theater which was in English. It was amazing, I learned so much, I’ve been to so many museums. I’m a museum rat. If you let me, I’ll spend the whole day.

first career role
Back in Brazil, Isadora passed the test to play the character Cris from Haja Coração. Her first career role not only required a move to Rio de Janeiro but also a change of accent, two major challenges for the then young actress.
I moved to Rio alone, a dangerous city, and I was very young, 17 years old. I still had to do a São Paulo accent. So for me it was very difficult. I thought I was very immature because I had only done theater in English, I didn’t master acting in Portuguese. But I have the greatest affection for the work I’ve done. That role meant I had the talent to be an actress.”

About a year and a half after “Haja Coração”, Isadora passed the test to become the protagonist of another telenovela. However, realizing that he would have to change his accent again, he turned down the role.
I had seen how difficult Haja Coração was for me and I didn’t have that maturity as an actress and as a woman. I find it easier to behave in Native American English than to change my Portuguese accent. It’s easier for me today. But at the time it was heavy.”

It’s very cool that the market is changing and more tolerant of nationalities. I was even surprised that I was so well received.”

With everything going well in Isadora’s life, returning to Brazil was not in the actress’ plans. In fact, she was about to record a series on the American streaming platform Hulu. But when she got the chance to play the protagonist Candoca, who still had the same accent as her, Isadora didn’t think twice and decided to come back here.
Candoca is an incredible character, not only because of her protagonist, but also because of all the messages she sends. She is very protective of nature, of animals. Their main purpose is charity. And that’s my biggest goal.”

Isadora also highlights what the biggest difference is between working here and working abroad.
The energy of the Brazilian set is completely different, it really creates a family. Especially with soap operas that you record for many months. I think the American who is colder doesn’t have as much. ”
Isadora plans to return to Los Angeles as soon as the recording of Mar do Sertão is complete. Though welcomed here by family and costars, the actress misses the boyfriend she left behind in the United States.
I miss my boyfriend very much who lives in Miami. We’ve been together for three and a half years and we still see each other from afar.”

The actress also emphasizes Guizé’s generosity from the very first scene they recorded together.
With Sergio it was chemistry right away. We had never met and our first test scene was the characters reunion after 10 years, a very difficult scene. It was very nice because he gave me everything I needed in the scene, he is very generous.
