Ana Rosa Quintana promised us innovation, precision and futurism for her new program. And now, 20 days have passed and they have… Mario Vaquerizo on this list of collaborators who can be called many things, but not innovative or futuristic. We have entertainers, influencers, bocachanclas and a bullfighter. And Vaquerizo, however controversial, is now hated by his former audience and now praised by both former politicians and journalists who jump from party to party to indulge in the onslaught of free gossip and the famous. Beautiful symbiosis. We have to admit that Mario has always been smarter than everyone else, especially when it comes to playing dumb.
He said last Thursday that he loves pollution. A frivolous way of expressing the need to use public or private transportation (although Mario is probably more into Uber) when visiting family or whatever. Vaquerizo was at Noche sin Trugua many, many years ago, where he laughed and encouraged the audience to pirate his album. Vaquerizo is famous above all: versatile, well-groomed. Now he has taken a step towards a different, less numerous audience, but one that certainly pays better than the media that promoted him. He agrees with his own character, and who knows if with his inner self (in Spain there are two enigmas: Garabandal and Mario Vaquerizo).
Her friendly talk about pollution included a chorus of clappers bursting with laughter, while Ana Rosa controlled the arena by raising her eyebrow. Laughter from those who know they are applauding an atrocity, but an atrocity that is very good for eating. Oh, Mario, how are you? The atrocities between friends are fun. The atrocities on television sow more ignorance if we had little. The problem is not that Mario Vaquerizo is ignorant (or pretends to be), but that in a time of proud illiteracy he is provided with a speaker to trivialize serious matters.
