The Government of Cienfuegos, with the help of communication experts and the relevant authorities, is moving forward to make the Provincial Development Strategy (EDP) a reality, which aims to develop, unite and engage the entire local society in a process that will endure for clarity, and the barriers to communication that stand in the way of solving the problems of the population will be removed.
At the recent meeting between the factors involved, Carlos Díaz Ramos, chief specialist of the government department in charge of methodological advice, assured that the intention is to change the current management model in the best way.
“A model already surpassed by speed, dizzying changes in technological, sociological, etc. However, for a paradigm shift to happen, decision-makers must participate in all debates,” said Díaz Ramos.
The quid is intended to build a truth beyond the individual, i.e. the collective, a topic that does not occur in this way today.
According to the manager, the preliminary preparation phase can now be completed and move fully into Phase II called Strategic Analysis, which already contains a detailed diagnosis with community perspectives.
“In addition to the citizens’ perspective, we also carried out an analysis from a scientific perspective. What is related to the territorial poles of production remains pending, which is not working properly at the moment,” he claimed.
The EDP has made communication security one of its cornerstones and is headed in particular by Deputy Governor Yolexis Rodríguez Armada, together with the support of university professors, representatives of the mass media and the Union of Lawyers.
