The PSOE calls for the “urgent” appearance of the President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, before the regional parliament after his “thunderous silence” on the “scandal” that resulted in the appointment of the Director General of Justice, Esmeralda Pastor, “with Franco profile”. The spokesperson for the PSOE group in the Cortes of Aragon, Mayte Pérez, has demanded this Saturday morning from Jorge Azcón the “immediate” dismissal of Esmeralda Pastor as General Director of Justice for “pushing Francoism” in a photo “without reservations with an unconstitutional flag in their social networks.” Since Jorge Azcón did not speak, Mayte Pérez requested the urgent appearance of the Aragonese President before the plenary session of the Cortes of Aragon. “SIMILAR” PROFILES Pérez questioned what type of professional profile Jorge Azcón chooses to represent a sector that, above all, “must ensure the respect of democratic principles and the rule of law.” In this sense, he also accused the President of the Government of Aragon of having introduced “a new profile similar to that of the President of the Cortes”, Marta Fernández. Pérez has explained that with this appointment the municipality takes another position that, like that of the President of the Cortes, calls into question the image of Aragón. “After more than two months of delay in the formation of a government and two more weeks of institutional vacuum, its spokesman Mar Vaquero argued that the delay was linked to the choice of appropriate professional profiles,” recalls Mayte Pérez, who now wonders what happened was that criterion for this choice. The socialist spokeswoman has emphasized on her social networks her rejection of the values of Esmeralda Pastor, who “apologizes for denials, denies sexist violence and defends the legacy of the dictator Franco”.
