The funeral of ice hockey player Rodion Amirov, who died a few days earlier of brain cancer, took place in the Ufa Arena in the presence of numerous people who had come to pay their last respects.
As shown by some photos published by the Continental League (KHL) English-language account, numerous spectators turned up at the home stadium of the team for which Amirov played at the circuit. The 21-year-old skater was drafted 15th overall in the National League auction by the Toronto Maple Leafs and played a total of three seasons with Salavat Yulaev.

The club’s flag bearers were also there, taking turns marching in front of the coffin to lay flowers there. On the sidelines of the ceremony, the relatives of the Russians were later able to gather.
The deceased was diagnosed with cancer in February 2022 and his death was announced on August 14. In 70 KHL games, he netted ten times and provided eight assists for 18 points.
