The Realme 12 Pro series is expected to launch as AMOLED display smartphones and periscope zoom flagships – notebookcheck.biz

Realme's new #NoPeriscopeNoFlagship launch campaign aims to bring the GT5 Pro to India – but the slogan could practically refer to the devices that the brand has just caught filing with regulators TENAA and MIIT in China.

There are two (RMX3841 and RMX3843), both of which appear to be medium striped vegan leather, red or light gray. The former appears to have almost exactly the same camera bump as the GT5 Pro, right down to the powerful periscope zoom in the bottom left corner.

TENAA also reveals that this RMX3841 is actually equipped with a 64 MP sensor on the back as well as two other devices with a resolution of 50 MP and 8 MP. Its brother RMX3843 now has a 50+32+8MP rear sensor for its own round camera island, which apparently also has its own exclusive “20X” specification.

Speaking of which, Realme seems to have improved these bumps so that they are slightly curved outwards rather than sticking out like the GT5 Pro, a design improvement perhaps intended to make the new devices a bit more compact.

In this sense, the new pair of smartphones are expected to launch as successors to the 11 Pro and Pro+, not only due to their looks and camera configuration, but also the fact that both upcoming devices come with the same 6.7-inch -AMOLED-FHD+ certified display, same 6-16GB RAM/128GB-1TB storage SKUs, and same 4,880mAh batteries (probably rounded to 5,000mAh for marketing reasons) as the 2023 sub-flagship smartphones.

As a result, these “12 Pro Series” devices could launch in China and then in regions like India and Europe in the near future.
