Last year's contestants on The Block won nearly $3 million in prize money.
And now an insider has revealed that Channel Nine has yet to pay out any of the Blockheads, despite the dramatic finale airing in November.
According to the source, The Block contestants agree to receive their prize money in three payments over an eight-month period before appearing on the show.
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle on Thursday, the insider said payments wouldn't be made until February or March, which could leave some of the suckers financially “thin.”
“They all want their money,” the source confirmed to the publication, adding, “Reality certainly prevails.”

Elsewhere in the chat, the insider said Channel Nine is always upfront about the pay for each season of The Block.
“It's not like Big Brother or Australian Idol in the early 2000s where the money was in your account a week later,” before pointing out that the money was paid out “in blocks.”
The source said every contestant is told what to expect before signing up, but most overlook this detail rather than turn down their chance to star in the hit series.
Meanwhile, the insider explained that the delay associated with the awarding of prize money was due to “lengthy processes” that had to be completed before participants could enjoy their winnings.

All the fools are waiting for their money, including Steph and Gian, who set a new record on the show's finale in November, selling their incredible five-bedroom, four-bathroom Hampton East home for $5 million.
The fan favorites, both 27, ended up walking away with $1.65 million in winnings and an additional $100,000 in prize money.
Eliza and Liberty, last season's other big winners, have yet to make a profit of $1.05 million after selling their home for $4.3 million.
The show's “villains,” Kristy and Brett, are also waiting for their $65,000 after their home went under the hammer for $3,035,000.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Leslie owe $130,000 after selling for $3.1 million on their renovation.
