The Quebec Remparts suffered a tough 7-0 loss to the Cape Breton Eagles in the Center 200 on Thursday night.
This defeat is the sixth in a row for Eric Veilleux's men, who have not won since December 28 against the Sherbrooke Phoenix. Since the start of this unfortunate series, the Remparts have conceded 29 goals.

The first 40 minutes were disastrous against the Eagles, as the Nova Scotia team scored all of these goals in the first two periods of the game. Quebec notably allowed 31 shots in this sequence.
Forwards Luke Patterson and Olivier Houde each scored two goals. Conor Shortall, Cam MacDonald and Charles-Antoine Lavalée also showed the red light for the local favorites. Cam Squires had a productive night, collecting four assists.
For the Remparts, Vincent Filion was removed from the game at the end of the second period after allowing seven goals on 29 shots. His successor, Louis-Antoine Denault, was then perfect on eight shots.
Quebec will continue its three-game trip to the Maritimes on Saturday against the Halifax Mooseheads and on Sunday against the Charlottetown Islanders. Simon Maltais' teammates will return to the Videotron Center on January 21 when the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada is in town.
