The day after a 4-1 loss to the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, the Quebec Remparts returned to victory by defeating the Chicoutimi Saguenéens 2-0 on Sunday at the Georges-Vézina Centre.
Goaltender Louis-Antoine Denault was at the heart of his team's success, recording his first shutout of the season with 24 saves. This is also the first time in his young career in the Maritimes Quebec Junior Hockey League that he has finished a game without conceding a goal.

We had to wait until the end of the second period to see a goal in this game. Julien Béland opened the scoring thanks to his 20th win of the season, beating Raphaël Précourt between the pads.
Nathan Quinn added even more during the final engagement. The latter took advantage of a turn by the Saguenéens in their defensive zone to thread the ball in thanks to a precise wrist shot.
Despite this win, Éric Veilleux's team still remains the worst team in the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-27-2-0.
The Remparts will begin a three-game stretch against the Gatineau Matériaux on Wednesday at the Videotron Center. They will then face the Drakkar twice on February 2nd and 3rd.
