The Laval rocket lost the services of its captain for a long time.
Forward Gabriel Bourque will miss six to eight weeks with a knee injury that required surgery, the team announced Thursday morning.
Bourque has been out since October 15th. He has only taken part in two games since the start of the season. He’s still looking for his first point.
The Rocket have lost two of the three games they have played since Bourque’s injury.
The Montreal Canadiens’ farm club has a record of 1-3-1 so far, placing them 13th out of 15 in the American League Eastern Association.
Jean-François Houle’s team plays its next game on Friday against the Rochester Americans.
