(Los Angeles) The wait is over: The Rolling Stones will soon treat their fans to new music with an album called Hackney Diamonds.

On Monday, the band announced that it is preparing to release its first album of original material in 18 years – since 2005’s “A Bigger Bang.” The album will also be the Stones’ first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts be year 2021.
The band will announce details of the album’s release on Wednesday in London’s Hackney, where Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood will be interviewed live by The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon.
The event will be livestreamed exclusively on YouTube on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time.
“This is a truly global moment that we want to share with fans around the world via YouTube,” the Rolling Stones said in a statement.
Hackney Diamonds’ announcement followed a cryptic advertising campaign that saw the group’s iconic mouth and tongue logo projected onto the facade of major landmarks in cities around the world, including New York, London and Paris.
