Barcelona have announced that the Rolling Stones logo will appear on the front of their home shirt during the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 28 as part of their ongoing partnership with Spotify.

The Spanish giants said the band’s tongue and lip logo will replace the Spotify logo for the game at the Estadi Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.

Barcelona said the move will bring the Rolling Stones, the legendary band made up of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, to the Clasico global stage for the first time.

The agreement is to promote the Rolling Stones’ new album “Hackney Diamonds,” which will be released on October 20th.

The album is the Rolling Stones’ first release of new material in 18 years.

“We are huge football fans and are honored that Spotify has put our Tongue & Lips logo on the FC Barcelona jersey to celebrate the release of the new Stones album ‘Hackney Diamonds’,” said the Rolling Stones.

“We will cheer on the players on the field as well as the fans around the world who will watch this legendary game.”

Barcelona added that the band’s logo will also appear on the women’s team’s kit for the game against Sevilla on November 5 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.

Spotify had already given up its place on Barcelona’s shirt during last season’s two Clasicos.

Canadian singer Drake’s owl logo was featured on the jersey in the 3-1 away loss to Real Madrid.

Catalan musician Rosalia’s Motomami design was featured on the jersey from Barcelona’s 2-1 home win over their rivals last March.

The partnership between Barcelona and Spotify officially began in 2022, with the streaming service sponsoring the club’s senior jerseys for the next four seasons, as well as the club’s professional academies jerseys.

The club’s 99,354-seat stadium, which is being redeveloped this season, has been renamed Spotify Camp Nou as part of the deal.

Barcelona also confirmed that Spotify has created a ‘matchday playlist’ ahead of the game, while two match shirts will be available for sale on October 23rd.

Limited edition jerseys will also be sold with the Rolling Stones logo, bearing the signatures of all the players who took part in the two games.

Clothing with the Rolling Stones, Spotify and Barcelona logos is also sold, including T-shirts, bucket hats and hoodies.

The Rolling Stones will also release special editions of their new album featuring the Barcelona club crest, along with a retro shirt inspired by 1960s fashion, when the band was formed.

The Rolling Stones have previously collaborated with French giants PSG.
