The royal family is releasing a touching photo book about King Charles’ life to mark his 75th birthday – including a poignant shot of young Harry in happier times

The royal family’s social media accounts have paid tribute to King Charles on his 75th birthday, releasing a photobook-like montage of images showing the monarch from his very first public appearance as a baby to more recent times – and many key moments in between.

The 39-second clip was shared this morning by the @RoyalFamily account.

The post included two emojis, one with a crown and the other with a cake, along with the words, “Wishing His Majesty the King a happy 75th birthday.”

There are pictures of the late queen – including one from 1948, when she was first pictured in public with her firstborn. Charles is seen sleeping soundly in his mother’s arms in a royal christening gown.

Princes William and Harry also appear – although not together – and flash happy scenes from their childhood, including the moment when the then Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana had their second in September 1984 at St. Mary’s Hospital in London son introduced to the world.

There is also a picture from November 1997 showing then-Prince Charles with young Prince Harry as father and son smile together while recording their handprints in concrete during an official visit to South Africa.

Elsewhere, a 1998 snap of Charles with Prince William on the slopes at the Swiss ski resort of Klosters, a long-time favorite of the royals, can also be seen.

The photobook-style montage begins with a blue and white cover featuring a bee-themed floral scene and the words “Happy Birthday, Your Majesty.”

Rousing classical music provides the soundtrack as the montage races through the decades.
