The British royal family unveiled a new photo taken the night before Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral last month, showing King Charles III. and the Queen’s consort are seen alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The portrait, shared by the royals on social media on Saturday nightshows Charles and Camilla alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton, smiling for the camera in their mourning clothes.

The picture was taken on the same night that world leaders, including President Joe Biden, traveled to a pre-funeral reception at Buckingham Palace.

The new portrait is missing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at the age of 96 after reigning as Queen of the United Kingdom for seven decades. Charles, their eldest son, became king immediately.

After Elizabeth’s funeral on September 19, she was buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.
