The second Alabama player is moving to Nebraska

Alabama defenseman Stephon Wynn is moving to Nebraska, he announced on Instagram Sunday night.

Wynn entered the NCAA transfer portal last month after spring training ended. He joins safety Kaine Williams, who also entered the portal to join Nebraska after spring training.

Wynn was a four-star recruit in 2018, playing in 21 games over the last four seasons, all as reserves. He was again scheduled to play a reserve role this season as a redshirt senior and would be eligible to play again under the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver in 2023.

Wynn saw time in seven games last season, rushed five tackles and a quarterback.

Alabama’s top-five predictions for upcoming season defenders remain DJ Dale, Justin Eboigbe, Jamil Burroughs, Byron Young and Tim Smith, while several other grantees will be battling for game time this August.

Wynn was one of 18 grantees to enter the Alabama transfer portal since last season, along with at least 11 walk-ons. Linebacker Jaylen Moody was the only grantee to return to Alabama after entering the portal.
