Prohiben en Francia manifestaciones frente al Consejo Constitucional

The second group of migrants from the USA returned to Venezuela

The returnees were received at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, La Guaira state, by the Bolivarian Minister of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos.

In statements to television, the Vice President of the Citizen Security and Peace Sector said that the compatriots returned home as part of the return plan, through which almost 40 people from different countries of the world have already returned to the country.

Ceballos emphasized that they are accepting women and men who will be subject to the appropriate insurance protocols to meet all their needs such as health care and verification of their nationality.

He explained that those arriving will have a verification period and will exercise their right to mobility, thereby complying with the provisions of the Constitution guaranteeing the human rights of all citizens.

He recalled that the first group of 127 Venezuelans returned on October 18 within the framework of the agreements signed between the Bolivarian Republic and the United States.

President Nicolás Maduro said last week that Venezuelans who emigrated to the United States as part of the return home plan would have to arrive in the country weekly.

He emphasized that the return of the compatriots was carried out in strict compliance with the agreements between the authorities of the two governments.

Maduro explained that they are all being held in migrant detention centers, recalling that it is the sanctions and unilateral coercive measures that have caused migration in the country.

A Foreign Ministry statement said the pact came about as part of “discussions with the authorities” of the North American country.

The note noted that Venezuelan migration in recent years was a direct result of the “use of unilateral coercive measures and the blockade of our economy.”

The Bolivarian Republic said that, within the framework of its “Vuelta a la Patria” program, it would provide “the necessary resources” for the comprehensive care of its repatriated compatriots and for the strict compliance with the protections afforded to them by the Constitution and the laws of the country .
