TikTok users were horrified after a woman shared a video of herself cleaning a fridge that hadn’t been opened in three years.
Auri Kananen, 29, from Tampere, Finland, who calls herself “the best cleaner in the world,” documented her fridge cleaning process in a viral TikTok that has been viewed over 70 million times.
Wearing gloves and a face mask, Auri opens the refrigerator and finds it brimming with moldy food.
She then pulls out all the pieces, including a crumbling egg carton, a browned ham pack, and a yogurt carton coated in a brown liquid.

After emptying the contents of the fridge, she filmed herself scraping a thick brown layer off the bottom peels before scrubbing away the rest.
Auri has been cleaning people’s homes for over two years and offers her services for free to help people struggling with mental health issues.
Giving an insight into the condition of the whole house, she said: “The homeowners were hoarders and the fridge hadn’t been opened in three years and it wasn’t even on.
“Since they haven’t had access to the kitchen for three years, the food in the fridge was over three years old.”

The refrigerator was full of moldy food, and Auri explained that it hadn’t been turned on in three years. In the end, the so-called “best cleaner in the world” managed to make the fridge look almost like new
But while the fridge left viewers horrified, Auri found it more interesting than anything else.
She continued: “When I opened it, it didn’t smell as bad as you would think. But it was so interesting getting the stuff out as everything was so moldy and old.
“There was a bag of lettuce that had turned into a brown liquid and I thought that was pretty cool.
“Obviously the bottom of the fridge was so pretty and dirty. This was the best fridge I have ever cleaned.”
Auri first removed the contents of the refrigerator, including a packet of ham, and told viewers, “Ham for your bread?”
While the fridge looked full of rotting groceries, Auri said, “When I opened it, it didn’t smell as bad as you would think.”

Auri, nicknamed the “Queen of Cleaning” by her followers, was able to keep the fridge looking almost brand new, but viewers were appalled by the state she found it in.
“Not me holding my breath,” one person commented on the video, which has amassed over 71.4 million views.
Another person wrote, “I would wear full protective gear before cleaning this.”
“I held my breath when I saw this even though I knew I couldn’t smell it through the phone,” added another.
TikTok users were horrified at the sight of the inside of the fridge before it was cleaned, with one saying, “I’d throw the whole fridge away.”
Someone else wrote: ‘I would throw out the whole fridge.’
“Just throw away the house and start over lol,” commented another.
“I’d have elbow-length gloves for that fridge,” wrote another reviewer.
One person said: “An apron and gloves are not enough for me, I would wear a protective suit.”
Auri also revealed how she handles such extreme cleans.

She said: “First of all, I always take a good look around and see all the wonderful things I can find under the rubbish.
“It’s like walking into the restaurant and looking closely at the menu and thinking about all the delicious things you’re going to eat, that’s how I feel cleaning!
“Then I start picking up the rubbish, then I usually clean the kitchen or the bathroom, whichever is dirtiest.
“Last thing I’m going to buy some nice things for the tenants.”
