Canadian player Arber Xhekaj signed a partnership with La Chambre – Microbrasserie Sportive, which launched the Smash Burger as a tribute to him. For Arber Xhekaj, it is important to get involved in the community: for every hamburger sold, one dollar is donated to two foundations. The first is Angel Project from London, Ontario, where her mother volunteers. This organization provides assistance in the form of world-class medical equipment to thousands of patients with complex care needs. The second is the organization Vision Inter-Cultures, based on Montreal’s south shore, dedicated to improving the lives of immigrant families in memory of their parents who immigrated to Canada in the 1990s in search of a better life.
Arber Xhekaj earned the nickname “The Sheriff” when he played minor ice hockey because he was always on guard to defend his teammates. In the photo we see him preparing to eat the smash burger.
