It is the darkest hour for Australian actor Eka Darville, actor of the Marvel saga and known for his roles in the TV series Jessica Jones, The Vampire Diaries and Power Ranger. Mana, the eldest son of Darville and his wife Lila, died of a brain tumor at just 10 years old. The little boy was diagnosed with the disease, which was already in a very advanced stage, after he collapsed while playing on the beach. Given the situation, the actor put his career on hold and devoted himself exclusively to looking after his young son. The family had moved to the US and the actor had also started a GoFundMe fundraiser to fund research and therapies. Since then, he has always kept fans and fans updated and reported on the progress of the treatment. What had reached a “critical” moment a few days ago, so much so that the actor had asked for prayers for his family.
An ordeal that lasted eight months
The little boy’s ordeal lasted eight months. After the collapse there were a few epileptic seizures, which then led to the diagnosis. “Mana has had three very difficult operations, we had to travel to two different continents, she has had countless therapies. Eight months later he is still with us and still fighting…. “We witnessed miracles in real life when Mana went from walking to doing acrobatics on the bed, climbing rocks, swimming and not only getting out of the wheelchair but also running without assistance,” the actor said on social media . But then the relapse, which made the situation worse. And today it is grandmother Malaika, the actor’s mother, who breaks the news: “There is a lot of peace. There is great silence in the house after such a long battle that lasted 463 days since the whole ordeal began… Now he is free, he is dancing in the light. We all see it, we feel it and I know that many of you, like me, have loved Mana for ages,” he writes in a poignant post on Instagram. Eka and his wife have two other children, Zion and Axé.
