Police fear that the year 2024 could begin with an escalation of violence in the criminal environment. Triggering several provocations, a well-known criminal would have attracted the attention of investigators from the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) and the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) because he now claims the status of a “street godfather gangs”, the Gregory Woolley occupied before he was shot.
Identified by our sources in the SPVM and SQ criminal investigations as Ahna Otna, he quickly gained attention on his Snapchat account by making inflammatory statements about the murder of Gregory Woolley in front of his wife and their three-day-old baby took place.
According to our sources, the now 38-year-old criminal, also known by the nickname Tupac (2-Pac), has always played the role of henchman of the Italian mafia or criminal biker.
This person was never of the caliber of what we call an organized crime decision maker. It has nothing to do with the reputation Woolley has built in the criminal world. He doesn't play in the same league, says a contact at the SQ.

On both the SPVM and SQ sides, the police assume that Ahna Otna is spreading falsehoods on social networks.
However, Otna's latest statements only fuel the tense climate in the criminal environment, which the metropolis's population does not need, fear the investigators who specialize in organized crime.
Unsurprisingly, his ambitions to become the next godfather of the street gangs are not unanimous. Police say they contacted Otna on Monday evening to issue a warning as there was now a price on his head.
He is a criminal of African descent who speaks French, English and Portuguese. He never hid his dislike for Gregory Woolley, whom he saw as an obstacle to his advancement on the streets. This is a well-known fact in the street gang community, according to a source at the SPVM who is not authorized to comment publicly on ongoing criminal investigations.
The SPVM and SQ note that most conflicts leading to public shootings in the last three years have arisen on social media between street gang factions.
He believes he has the means to achieve his ambitions by prevailing through fear and violence. He has access to several small groups of armed criminals capable of carrying out message passing tasks and opening fire, adds the same Montreal police officer.
Culture of violence
Ahna Otna is not only active in the criminal world, he also leads a life as a music artist, under the name Tupac, in which he presents himself as a rapper.
According to public judicial records, he was tried in 2012 for drug trafficking and trafficking for the benefit of a criminal organization. He was subsequently arrested a few more times for aggravated assault, extortion and threatening to cause death or bodily harm.
To ensure his safety, he travels in an armored SUV vehicle and lives in a luxury condo tower in the heart of downtown Montreal. He is part of the culture of music and violence, says a second police source at the SPVM.
The same investigator states that he is a close friend of Frantz Louis, nicknamed “Big Brother”, who was murdered with a gun while getting out of his car in the Ahuntsic district in November 2020.
Until 2021, he was considered a close confidant of mafioso Davide Barberio. Police allege he was his henchman to carry out an extortion scheme to pay off debts from sports betting or usurious loans, but a conflict ended their business relationship.
Today Ahna Otna is linked by the police to Patrick Lock, a member of the Hells Angels. Lock was the target of an attempted murder that took place in a café on Rue Jean-Talon on July 21, 2022, and would have received a guarantee of protection from Ahna Otna as a sign of loyalty.
