A stabbing rampage at a French university has left four injured as a “knife-wielding attacker” has been arrested

  • It is not clear what injuries the four victims have and whether they are in critical condition
  • The alleged attacker was arrested after students claimed to have seen him accidentally attack other students
  • He is believed to be tall and wearing a long black coat and holding a cane.

Four people were injured in a knife attack at a French university, and a knife attacker was arrested.

Police and firefighters were called to Le Mans University France at 1:45 p.m. today, after it is alleged that a man with a knife broke into the Faculty of Arts.

It is not clear what injuries the four victims have and whether they are in critical condition or not.

Police said the suspect had been arrested and the attack did not appear to be linked to terrorism.

The alleged attacker was arrested after students claimed to have seen him accidentally attack other students.

According to the local newspaper West Francethe professor was punched in the face.

He is believed to be tall and wearing a long black coat and holding a cane.

The building evacuation alarm went off at 1:45 p.m., and students hid in classrooms and other buildings.

The alleged attacker was arrested around 2 pm and classes were canceled for the rest of the day.
